Request a Quote Email usThe Wiggins Medical Peapod Pituitary Rongeur was designed with a single procedure in mind: anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. Its hallmark oval, low-profile jaw slips into narrow cervical disc spaces cleanly, so disc material can be taken down in measured, controlled bites without disturbing the surrounding anatomy.
The curved instrument profile follows cervical anatomy naturally, and the action delivers clear tactile feedback as each disc fragment is engaged — supporting incremental removal while adjacent structures are preserved. A PVD surface coating cuts glare under operative lighting and adds wear resistance, and the rongeur is manufactured from premium surgical-grade stainless steel for long service life.
The Peapod line is stocked for Canadian hospitals and cervical spine teams through EB MED CO.
