This spiral 3-port cannula is purpose-built for that demand, making it a frequent choice for gynecomastia correction, back liposuction and secondary revision work where scar tissue is present.
Its three ports are arranged in a 60-degree helical pattern rather than a simple inline row, spreading suction across several subcutaneous planes at once and giving effectively 360-degree extraction. Because the openings are staggered, they are far less likely to clog together the way inline holes can — the spiral layout instead sets up a vortex effect during aspiration that keeps flow steady through high-volume harvesting, including BBL fat collection.
The tip itself is wedge-shaped, acting more like a prow that parts tissue than a blade that cuts it. That lowers resistance and surgeon fatigue over long cases and is associated with less post-operative bruising. A choice of hub or handle lets the surgeon match the instrument to the case: the large 1-inch aluminum handle adds the torque needed for calcified or scarred tissue, while the 60cc Toomey hub turns the cannula into a closed-system harvester for sterile fat transfer, and a standard Luer lock connection is also available.
This spiral 3-port liposuction cannula is available to Canadian plastic surgery practices and hospitals through EB MED CO.
