Scoville Hook Retractor

The Scoville Hook Retractor from ACE Medical Co is intended for retraction tasks where tissue must be held aside gently and the field must stay open to view. The slim, softly curved 7 mm hook engages dura, vessels, or fine tissue layers without tearing, while its low-profile shaft keeps obstruction of the operative corridor to a minimum.

A working length of 9.5 inches (23 cm) provides comfortable access into deep exposures, and the non-slip ergonomic handle maintains a stable grip through prolonged retraction under magnification. Common uses include neurosurgical retraction of dura and cortical tissue, otologic and skull base exposures in ENT, microvascular separation of nerves and vessels, and ophthalmic or facial nerve procedures.

The retractor is made from German surgical-grade stainless steel, tolerates frequent reprocessing, and is fully autoclavable to 134°C (273°F). Its smooth finish discourages residue buildup and simplifies cleaning.
