These bivalve internal nasal splints are placed post-operatively to help hold the septum in a stable position while healing occurs following septoplasty, rhinoplasty, or functional sinus surgery. The two-piece design cushions the septal mucosa, limits adhesion formation, and helps keep the airway open during the early recovery period.

Each splint is made from 100 percent fluoroplastic, giving a smooth, biologically inert surface that patients tend to tolerate well and that lifts away easily at removal. Pre-cut holes are built into each piece so the splints can be secured in place with suture during insertion.
