A towel clamp is one of the smallest instruments on the back table, yet it underpins the entire sterile setup — fixing drapes in place, securing suction and cautery lines, and keeping the operative field stable from positioning through closure. A clamp that springs open or grips unevenly puts sterile technique at risk, which is why build quality matters even at this scale.

These German-manufactured towel clamps are precision-made from high-grade surgical stainless steel and are offered in two working styles. The sharp-tipped Backhaus pattern (ref. 05-801-13) penetrates and locks layered draping firmly, a natural fit for orthopaedic and spinal cases. The atraumatic towel forceps (ref. 05-805-14) use blunt, rounded tips that hold without perforating, suited to outpatient, paediatric, and cosmetic procedures.
