Its distal bend of roughly 30° to 45° positions the working tip in the spinal canal, skull base, sinus cavity, or along the dura while keeping the hand out of the visual axis, so the field stays unobstructed.
The slender, rigid shaft transmits fine tactile feedback — the quality that lets a surgeon feel tissue planes rather than force them — making the instrument well suited to teasing apart adhesions, elevating thin membranes, and separating small nerve rootlets. A rounded tip guards against perforation, and the smooth transition from edge to shaft supports controlled, progressive dissection.
Manufactured in Germany from surgical-grade stainless steel, the dissector holds its alignment through repeated autoclave cycles and resists corrosion and pitting over a long service life. Typical applications include neurosurgery, ENT and sinus work, cervical to sacral spine access, microsurgery, plastic surgery, and general and vascular procedures.
Surgical teams across Canada can obtain the Frazier angled dissector through EB MED CO.
