Request a Quote Email usThe Stille Horsley Bone Cutter is a double-action instrument built to take dense bone quickly and predictably in spine surgery. Its angled jaws bite through thick posterior elements — spinous processes, lamina, facet bone — in controlled, repeatable cuts, which shortens the resection phase of decompression and fusion cases such as laminectomy, foraminotomy, PLIF, and TLIF. The jaw angle also improves reach and line of sight in deep exposures, so surrounding tissue stays protected while bone removal proceeds.
The same qualities serve well in anterior cervical work. During ACDF, the sharp jaws and balanced handles permit measured removal of osteophytes and vertebral body margins in a tight corridor, making the cutter equally at home in minimally invasive and anterior approaches. The double-action linkage multiplies cutting force while easing strain on the hand over long cases.
Each instrument is manufactured in Germany from 100% German surgical stainless steel and can be supplied with a black PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) finish, which adds corrosion resistance, extends service life, and cuts glare under OR lighting.
Hospitals and spine centres across Canada can obtain the Stille Horsley Bone Cutter from EB MED CO.
